Jaeger von Jarmen is a gorgeous 2 year old German Shepherd. His striking good looks and intelligent face are head-turners whenever he goes on a walk. He's a mellow guy who walks great on leash and enjoys his outings with our volunteers. During walks he does not easily get distracted and stays on his best behavior. He waits to be petted while you wait for the red light to change. Jaeger tends to avoid meeting other dogs but, when he does, he gives them a quick sniff and then walks on. Our kennel techs describe him as "a really sweet boy who, once comfortable, wants to cuddle with you." Jaeger really enjoys receiving affection, rubbing against you like a cat. He is obedient and patient. This guy is pretty independent and does not demand much; he usually keeps himself busy. He enjoys hikes and long walks. Jaeger prefers that strangers do not give him attention right away but rather wait until he gives them the go-ahead. During play groups Jaeger walks in fairly confident and a bit dominant. Jeager does well with a mellow, submissive type of dog. He doesn’t give other dogs much attention, so he expects the same from other dogs. Jaeger will do great in a home with the right dog after a proper introduction (our professional trainer will demonstrate). This handsome boy is very well behaved; he is an Urban Training Graduate.
